I started using AI for patents early this year. In about three and a half months I used it on several technical disclosures, optimized more than a dozen drafts, and ran multiple search rounds. Line-check against drawings and photos.\n\nThird, AI will not tell you grant odds, inventive-step strength, or examiner reaction. Keep AI as a super assistant for format and first passes; keep humans for judgment.\n\nOn confidentiality: know whether the tool trains on inputs. AutoPatent states it does not train on user inputs and encrypts processing — still match the tool to your risk tolerance.\n\nBottom line: AI multiplies throughput for inventors who already understand claims versus specification.
