AI will not make the judgment calls for you, but it can compress the mechanical part of patent writing from weeks to hours. Here is the workflow I use to go from a raw invention disclosure to a draft application in roughly one day. Step one: distill the disclosure. A raw disclosure mixes the technical problem, the solution, marketing language, and half-finished ideas. Strip it down to four things: the technical problem, the solution, at least one concrete embodiment, and one sentence that states what is new compared with everything you already know. That last sentence becomes the anchor of your independent claim. Step two: search before you write. Run a semantic prior art search on the distilled summary before drafting a single claim. This step decides which words belong in your claims and which are already burned by prior art. Step three: draft the claim skeleton with AI.
